Miyuki Oishi is a highly qualified and experienced English teacher/trainer with a rare background. Being raised and educated in Japan, she showed outstanding talent and abilities in language acquisition in the early years of her teens. She was offered two scholarship-based opportunities to study abroad in the US and in the UK, in high school and in university, respectively.

On her return to Japan, she began her career in the field of art, licensing, and pharmaceutical businesses, where she learned and developed basic business skills bilingually. While developing her own career, she was often requested to advise her business associates on their use of business English and later to teach English in and out of the companies.

After a short initial period of teaching in Japan, she obtained a Cambridge CELTA qualification from IH International Teacher Training Institute, London, and started teaching as a qualified teacher in recognized language schools, enterprises, and the court in Tokyo and Saitama. Her teaching career has been for over 23 years.

Her strengths as a teacher include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation teaching/training (she sat the IPA Certificate Examination in English Phonetics, International Phonetic Association in 2013 at University College London), reading/academic writing, and business English. Her background as a successful language learner contributes greatly to recognizing and understanding every weakness learners may have. Her abundant intercultural experience will also be of great help for those who have overseas studies and stays in mind.
